At Gracefield Dental Practice, we offer a wide range of treatments for restoring teeth. Our team is particularly skilled and qualified to deliver these treatments to a very high standard. One type of restoration that is used to replace part of a single tooth is a crown.
A crown fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth that has been affected by tooth decay. The crown is designed to strengthen what is left of the tooth structure and mimics its natural shape and colour, so it fits in with the rest of your teeth.
Also, if you have had root canal treatment you will need a crown to protect or cap the restored tooth, allowing you to eat and bite down on it as if it was a real tooth. Crowns are also used to anchor a bridge or denture firmly in place in the mouth.
We look forward to looking after your smile!
